Finally I get to see Reznor and his band of merry-men in my hometown. We get to the venue at about 14:00 and wait in the spiral members line to get our tickets. Finally Brandy comes out at about 15:00 and starts giving us (about 50 of us) our tickets. Then we wait again. We get to go in eventually for a sound check. After the sound check, the band (except for Alex) come down to say hello to us. It was a good experience and it seems that Aaron and Alessandro are a lot nicer than I would have anticipated. Jeordie came by, just shook his hand and got him to sign my piece of paper…I really didn’t have anything to say to him. Then the big man (“with a gun”) and I shook hands as I said “so I finally get to see you face to face” to which he smirked, asked how it was going, signed my ticket and told me to enjoy the show as he moved on to the next person. After that was done, we were to sit and watch/listen to Queens of the Stone Age do their sound check…but I can’t remember exactly what the songs were (so I listed the ones I knew they played…although they might not be in order). After getting some drinks and using the washroom before the masses piled in. Finally… the show started at 19:00.

Death From Above 1979 put on a good last set of the tour since it is their last night and Queens of the Stone Age, as always, put on a great set which to my joyful surprise included “First it Giveth” which means I can now die happily if I never see them again. Nine Inch Nails did a fantastic job, although no less was expected in the first place. Pretty much the exact same setlist as before shows…however I was pleasantly surprised to hear them play With TeethDeep and Reptile. I don’t really feel like doing a lot of detail, since you can just scroll down for more (the Toronto show entry) but let’s just say that this was probably the best show and set they have performed from what I have seen. It was a triumphant, yet sad, way to end the concert going experience of seeing two of my favorite bands…I can’t wait to see them again.
