Seeing release just before Christmas of 2012, KRUNCH by LeGrudge & Rugged has been a welcome addition to the indie game scene, mixing difficulty and urgency while maintain a distinct retro feel to form it’s own distinct identity. We were able to take some time from Vieko Franetovic (Lou LeGrudge) and Mike Lohaus (Dirk Rugged) soon after the game’s release to discuss indie games, Steam Greenlight initiative and the finer points of making a game leave a lasting impression.

Paul

Paul has been writing about video games and media since 2005, when he started The Pixel Response as a personal blog. He’s a longtime fan of horror, tragedy, and emotionally driven storytelling, and enjoys exploring how games can leave a lasting impact beyond just gameplay. A former writer for Game Guiders and a podcaster for nearly 20 years, Paul focuses on thoughtful commentary, deep dives, and discussions that go beyond surface-level reviews.
