  • We had the best time at your party… Goodbye, Ween.

Yesterday, one of my absolute favorite bands decided to call it quits.  Ween was born in 1984 after Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo met in 8th grade and since then has evolved from two kids screwing around with sounds into a very competent and, dare I say, genius musical project.  Taking on the psuedonyms of Gene […]

  • REVIEW: Chernobyl Diaries

Back in April of 1986 the Chernobyl nuclear power plant just outside of Prypiat in the Ukraine had a catastrophic accident and an explosion released enormous quantities of radioactive contamination in the atmosphere and surrounding area.  It has long since been considered the worst nuclear power accident in the world. With a premise based in such a disturbing reality, there’s no way this could go wrong… right?

  • Digital Digressions: Men in Black 3

Paul: I don’t know about you, but Men In Black has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. To this day I will rewatch the first one multiple times if I’m bored.

  • A Talk With Josh A. Cagan

Personally, Undergrads was almost the perfect animated representation of my life at the time and holds a special place in my heart because of it but that doesn’t detract from it being a genuinely heart-touching, funny and all around great show.

  • FIRST IMPRESSION: Hybrid

In 2032 a newly built Hadron Supercollider imploded, obliterating Australia. The world was sent into turmoil as an alternate reality collided with our own and from it emerged a species known as the Variant. Chaos ensued and world war broke out between the Variants and a group of rebel humans known as the Paladins. The […]

  • REVIEW: The Walking Dead: Episode 1 – A New Day

I was admittedly somewhat indifferent to hear that Telltale Games (Sam & Max series and Jurassic Park: The Game) were working on a video game of a comic series that some might say has gotten too much attention.  Being ever the optimist and zombie lover I am I decided to give the game a fair […]

  • This Week In Comics: April 24-30

It’s somewhat ironic that the week of the comic expo I only read three comics but there you go I suppose.
