Pixel Response Podcast: Episode 67 – Grouchin’ On Oscars

With the Oscars freshly behind us, we spend a good hour this week reading over some Oscar predictions by Matt The Movie Maven (nickname made up just now, like it?) and give our opinions on the whole. Paul watched V/H/S and likens it to some Nine Inch Nails stuff before getting into a bunch of British television while Nathan, riding high on the Coogan train again, has his own British invasion with Desert Island Discs radio podcasts.

Also, Canadian Netflix just kind of sucks… right?

Pixel Response Podcast: Episode 65 – Barrels O’ Fun!

Nathan finally plays Far Cry 3 and finds some things to enjoy in it (and promptly being forced away from those things). Paul gets annoyed at Black Ops 2′s sorry excuse for a story and the two complain about issues with indie game developers selling incomplete products (Steam Greenlight is some bullshit, yo). New Community brings some concerns and documentaries on pornography and bronies are discussed.

Also, we dive into Nathan’s redneck history and talk some illegal activities.

The Media Monks: Ep. 28 – Monks in Black

**SPOILER ALERT: We ruin the only “spoilery” type thing in Men in Black 3 between 00:47:00 to 00:48:20. You have been warned.

This week, Paul finally starts his quest to catch up on Game of Thrones and knocks down four episodes while also finishing off season 3 of Community. Nathan agrees with the New York Times about Game of Thrones’ lacking in draw lately and tries some Lilyhammer on Netflix while continuing on with more Eastbound and Down. Both the monks went to see Men in Black 3 and discuss it in depth and Paul talks a bit about Chernobyl Diaries before his review went up. Nathan still loves Animal Crossing and Max Payne 3 while Paul finds it hard to get into Diablo III and spends more time playing the indie game Decay.

Also, a discussion on Geek Pride Day sparks a chat about Remembrance Day, which Nathan feels strongly about. And YOLO is kind of a stupid term with a decent message.
