Indie Talks!: Ep. 10 – Ian Stocker

Ian Stocker, owner and sole employee of MagicalTimeBean studios is well regarded in the XBOX Live Indie Games and XNA community for some of the better made games in the XBLIG store with titles such of SoulCaster I & II and Escape Goat under his belt. We were able to sneak a bit of his time away to find out what it’s like developing for an all-but-forgotten section of the XBOX experience and what the transition to other platforms is like.

Easily one of the most important games one could play, Cart Life is a fascinating and intense look into the life of business management from the perspective of a small business owner that is as fulfilling as it is punishing.

Indie Talks!: Ep. 08 – LeGrudge & Rugged

Seeing release just before Christmas of 2012, KRUNCH by LeGrudge & Rugged has been a welcome addition to the indie game scene, mixing difficulty and urgency while maintain a distinct retro feel to form it’s own distinct identity. We were able to take some time from Vieko Franetovic (Lou LeGrudge) and Mike Lohaus (Dirk Rugged) soon after the game’s release to discuss indie games, Steam Greenlight initiative and the finer points of making a game leave a lasting impression.
